Two Boats on the Beach
Two Boats on the Beach tells a story of recent arrivals, possibly even
intimate friends who have chosen to escape from chaotic lives to find
relaxation and exploration on a sandy shore. The proximity of the boats with
their shadows touching, denote a close relationship between the travelers. The
wooden trim of the exteriors are similar in model and size and composed with
equal diligence. But it is in the crafts’ differences that the painter
expresses the characters of both the vessels and travelers. One is bare, simple
and proper condition. The other is complex, worn, more experienced.
